South Jersey plant to close, hundreds to lose their jobs

The Ardagh Group, an international glassmaker based in Luxembourg, announced Wednesday night it will close its glassmaking facility in Salem, costing hundreds of jobs in the South Jersey town.

The plant will close on Oct. 15 with 290 employees expected to lose their job.

The story was first reported by The South Jersey Times on NJ.com late last night.
