An Indian company has invested in a Cranbury-based biopharmaceutical firm, the two companies announced Wednesday.

Strides Arcolab, a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Bangalore, India, has made a series of strategic investments in Oncobiologics Inc. which is developing a pipeline of biotherapeutics, the companies said in a news release.

"The investments by Strides Arcolab represent important milestones for Oncobiologics,” Pankaj Mohan, Oncobiologics’ founder and CEO, said in the release. “Strides Arcolab is a long-term strategic partner that provides both financial strength and a proven track record of successful business ventures. We look forward to their support and guidance as we continue to execute Oncobiologics' business and technical plans."
