Health messaging company gains Michigan vendor status

A Florham Park-based provider of health messaging services has been chosen to help Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services with its information exchange needs.

DataMotion announced Monday that it has gained approved direct vendor status, and it will serve as a direct marketplace for Michigan.

DataMotion said in a news release that its Direct Secure Messaging service will assist qualified organizations and providers communicate information securely and in full compliance with federal and state regulations.

"MiHIN's strategy to implement Direct as a core functionality for deploying other HIE services positions us to thrive in the rapidly-developing health information sector," Bob Janacek, chief technology officer at DataMotion, said in the release. "MiHIN is a leader in the electronic exchange of health information and a model nationwide. We're pleased to be part of MiHIN's strategy and share their view that the highly affordable secure messaging provided by Direct is critical for improving patient care while reducing costs."
