Paramus-based Movado Group Inc. on Monday announced a pair of changes in its leadership team.

Ricardo Quintero joined the company as president of Movado Group Inc. effective Monday, the company said in a news release. Quintero will direct the company’s brands, marketing and international expansion plans, Movado said. In addition, Rick Cote, the president and chief operating officer since 2010, has been promoted to vice chairman and chief operating officer.

Prior to Movado, Quintero worked for The Estee Lauder Companies, serving as Clinique’s senior vice president, global general manager — market development.

“I am delighted to have Ricardo Quintero join Movado Group,” Efraim Grinberg, Movado’s chairman and CEO, said in the release. “He has a proven track record as a global brand builder and leader. Ricardo understands brands, how they connect with consumers around the world, and the global landscape.

“I am equally pleased to announce the promotion of Rick Coté to vice chairman and chief operating officer,” Grinberg continued. “Rick has been instrumental in developing the platform that has led to our strong sales growth and profitability. In his new role, Rick will partner with Ricardo and myself to help us to evolve our strategies and continue on a path of sustainable profitable growth.”
