Booker to hold tech forum for small businesses July 11 in Hoboken

By ,

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker will lead a technology and social innovation forum for New Jersey-based small businesses next week at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken.

The July 11 event, which will be held in partnership with the Internet Association, will feature a panel discussion with representatives from Facebook, Google, Yelp and two state-based small businesses, websignia and CardCash. The use of social media for business purposes will be a focus point.

For Booker, the event is the latest in a series of small business roundtables he has hosted across the state in recent months.

In June, Booker held a forum at the Rutgers Business School in Newark on accessing capital through the use of technology and another later that month in Jersey City alongside designer and CEO Tory Burch.
