Morris Township-based Honeywell announced Wednesday that its Process Solutions unit will be supplying a new system for a plant in Qatar under a multimillion-dollar contract.

The integrated control and safety system will enable Qatar Fuel Additives Co.’s Mesaieed Industrial City plant to reduce its operating costs and improve efficiencies as it increases production of methanol and gas additive MTBE, Honeywell said in a news release.

"Honeywell's technology offers a truly integrated control and safety system that will improve operational effectiveness, as well as provide cost-saving features and applications for improved process performance," Mansour Al Belhadj, Middle East sales director for Honeywell Process Solutions, said in the release.
