Quest Diagnostics opens new customer service facility

By ,

Madison-based Quest Diagnostics, a provider of diagnostic information services, announced Thursday that it has opened a new customer service facility.

The 48,000-square-foot center, located in Tampa, Florida, was designed to enhance and extend Quest’s services to its health care clients and its 45,000 employees throughout the United States.

According to the announcement, about half of physicians and hospitals in the U.S. use Quest’s services.

The center will allow Quest to monitor both its air and ground operations with 15 control stations and a 250-foot digital display for viewing the nationwide network.

“With this new center, Quest deepens our commitment to physicians, patients and the local community in Tampa and all of Florida,” James E. Davis, senior vice president of operations for Quest Diagnostics, said in a statement. “This new center will elevate Quest’s customer services to the next level of responsiveness and quality. It reflects our commitment to delivering a superior customer experience and providing diagnostic insights that will help people lead healthier lives.”

The center is expected to employ approximately 350 customer service, logistics and human resources professionals.  It will open in 2015.
