A Jersey Shore luxury real estate agency Tuesday announced it had merged with an Ocean County firm.

Childers Sotheby’s International Realty will merge with Rhine & Associates, Inc., in a deal that will give Childers Sotheby’s a sixth Jersey Shore site. That office will be located at the Toms River site formerly occupied by Rhine & Associates.

“The merger between Childers Sotheby’s International Realty and Rhine & Associates, Inc. marks a wonderful collaboration by two chief real estate agencies at the Jersey Shore,” Lee Childers, broker of record and sole owner of Childers Sotheby’s International Realty, said in a news release. “We are excited to begin work with the Rhine & Associates team and look forward to strengthening our position as one of the top agencies serving the Toms River and Ocean County region.”

The official opening of the new office was held last week at a ribbon-cutting that featured Toms River Mayor Thomas Kelaher.
