It was officially a new day for New Day Underwriting Managers, which formally announced Tuesday the opening of its new corporate headquarters in Hamilton.
The specialty intermediary of environmental and construction related professional liability insurance said in a news release that the expansion was prompted by its 35 percent growth in revenue and staffing over the past year.
“It is a move to a much newer facility that provides modern amenities,” Jefferey S. Lejfer, the company’s president and CEO, said. “We were in what I would characterize as an incubator-type space, and had been looking to move for several years.”
The site, in a suite at 2465 Kuser Road, includes 5,500 square feet selected to provide multiple meeting spaces, as well as having the potential for continued growth. New Day has signed a six-year lease, according to Lejfer.
“We needed to support the efforts of our team so they can continue to assist us in our growth,” Lejfer said.
He added that clients and vendors have been pleased with the new location.
“We had very few people wanting to come visit us, and now everyone wants to come visit us,” he said. “The reactions have been very positive and just a reinforcement of the relationship. It validates us as an entity and a company here in Hamilton and New Jersey.”
