Marketing department expansion underway at American Financial Resources

Parsippany-based eLEND, a division of American Financial Resources Inc. (AFR) announced Monday that it has expanded its marketing department.

"AFR/eLEND's stimulus to build an in-house marketing agency is driven by a desire for more efficiency, and to retain ownership over its creative work." Angel Bell, vice president of marketing, said in a statement. "The in-house expansion effort is diametrically inline with results of recent marketing studies that found big marketers ratcheting up in-house marketing capabilities. The penetration of these shops within commerce climbed to 60 percent from 40 percent just a few years ago. We believe that with the right infrastructure, profits will grow exponentially.”

As part of AFR’s initial marketing recruitment efforts, the company approached Bell, known for her financial marketing background and agency experience.

Also joining the in-house marketing and marketing technologies group are:

Frederick C. Zerilli joins the company as an e-Commerce expert.  He is an e-commerce, information technology and digital marketing expert with 14 years of experience in mortgage marketing.  He has extensive experience maximizing ROI through e-commerce infrastructures and delivers strong conversion rates, consumer loyalty and brand recognition.

Jonathan Brandao joins the company as its marketing/graphics assistant.  He was the founder of BrandaoFilms and has extensive experience through positions as a graphic designer, photographer and film production manager.

Alex Kelly joins the company as a digital strategist. Kelly will be responsible for ensuring the company’s digital platforms are utilized to their full potential.

Anthony Dykstra joins the company as marketing/web designer.

Joseph Cullinan is the company’s new web developer.

Mark Freegrade joins the company as a web marketing specialist.

Additionally, Nat Chris, a mortgage and real estate marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience and Anna Platz, a former compliance manager with more than a decade of marketing compliance, will play a vital role in the group’s success.
