McCarter & English names three new Newark partners

Law firm McCarter & English LLP announced Friday it has named three new partners in its Newark office.

Kevin A. Brown - ()

According to the firm, Kevin A. Brown, an attorney in the firm’s Tax, Employee Benefits and Private Clients Practice group, was named partner.  He advises clients on employee benefit and executive compensation matters and on how to treat the plans and arrangements in corporate transactions and bankrupties, the firm said.  He’s been with McCarter & English since 2011 and graduated from Emory University School of Law.

Steven E. Halpern
Steven E. Halpern - ()

The firm also named as Partner Steven E. Halpern.  He is an attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property/Information Technology Practice group, the firm said.  Halpern focuses on post-grant patent proceedings and the acquisition, management and enforcement of domestic and international intellectual property rights.  He has extensive experience in computer and data communications, power electronics, software, food processing equipment, medical devices, automation and controls, radar systems, heating and electromechanics, among others.  He’s been with McCarter & English since 2006 and graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Natalie S. Watson
Natalie S. Watson - ()

Natalie S. Watson was also named partner.  She is an attorney in the firm’s Product Liability Practice group.  Watson is a trial attorney who focuses in commercial and intellectual property litigation and defends corporations, individuals and public entities in New Jersey and across the nation.  She also represents Fortune 500 companies with contract disputes, sexual harassment, personal injury, wrongful death and insurance matters.  She’s been with McCarter & English since 2004 and graduated from Rutgers University School of Law — Newark.
