Sea Girt-based Solis Partners Inc., a leading commercial solar developer and integrator, announced Wednesday that Joe Joyce has joined the company as the new executive vice president and head of sales.

According to the announcement, Joyce will lead business development strategies at Solis, as well as its sales team, to focus on expanding in the East Coast solar market.

“Joe is a dynamic force in the solar industry on the East Coast,” John Stafford, founder and CEO at Solis, said in a prepared statement.  “As Solis continues to expand its business in the distributed energy market, he will be a vital asset to our team because of his market knowledge and experience in building successful sales teams.  We’re thrilled that he will be playing a key role in establishing and continuing valuable relationships with Solis clients in the region.”

Joyce has more than a decade of solar sales experience.  Prior to Solis, he was the senior vice president for sales and marketing at Ray Angelini Inc., the announcement said.  He also was the founder and president of Joyce Solar.

“I’ve been an admirer of Solis’ approach to the commercial solar business, principally in regard to their cost-competitive, well-designed and built projects; their strong customer focus; and their high-quality sales team, all of which contribute to an increased ROI for the customer,” Joyce said in a prepared statement. “I’m thrilled to be contributing to a thriving company that is well positioned to lead the second wave of growth in the regional solar industry....”

Before joining the solar industry, he held a number of executive positions in information technology at Sysix, Satyam, Mid-Atlantic Research and Centron.
