MCS Healthcare Public Relations, headquartered in Bedminster, announced Wednesday that it has been named the public relations agency of record (AOR) for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, New Jersey’s largest health insurance provider.

“MCS Healthcare Public Relations is well known for their creativity and health care expertise, and we look forward to putting their creativity to use as we continue to communicate why Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New jersey is trusted by more New Jersey residents to provide financial protection and peace of mind than any other health insurance company,” Tom Rubino, director, public affairs and advertising, Horizon BCBSNJ, said in a prepared statement.

The partnership will focus on the development and execution of multichannel public relations campaigns to enhance Horizon BCBSNJ’s brand, according to the announcement.  It will also provide strategic counsel, social media communication and event management support, the announcement said.

“We are very excited to be working with Horizon BCBSNJ as the health insurance industry enters a new era,” Joe Boyd, CEO of MCS, said in a prepared statement.  “We have shared commitment to improving people’s lives through quality health care and providing information that empowers people to make the best choices for themselves and their families.”
