Something about you your co-workers don't know: As a freshman in high school I wrote a short horror story that was published called "Twin Terror!"



DMR Architects, a full-service architectural, planning and urban design firm in Hasbrouck Heights, appointed Thomas Hofmann, R.A. to lead its corporate interiors team.

Hofmann has more than 20 years of experience as an architectural director at firms such as G3 Architects, Interiors for Jarmel Kizel, Montroy Anderson Design Group Inc. and Lehr Construction.


Sussex BanCorp, the holding company for Sussex Bank, promoted Steven M. Fusco to senior executive vice president of the Rockaway-based company and bank, in which he will also continue to serve as the chief financial officer. Fusco has more than 27 years of financial experience working in senior level positions at Investor's Bank, Mariner's Bank, Interchange Bank and Summit Bank. He was also president of Financial Managers Society of the New York and New Jersey Chapter.

Sussex Bank in Rockaway also promoted Neill Schreyer from senior vice president to executive vice president. Schreyer joined Sussex Bank in 2009 as a loan workout officer after previously serving as chief loan officer at Noble Community Bank and division head for The Bank of New York's small and middle market loan workout division.

Christine Keaveney also joins Sussex Bank in Rockaway as assistant vice president and senior mortgage underwriter of the retail-lending department. Keaveney has more than 25 years of banking experience with companies such as Lincoln Park Savings Bank.

Hotel management

Linda Krwawecz joins Delco Development, a family-owned development and management company, as sales manager for Aloft and Super 8 Hotels in Mount Laurel. Krwawecz will assist in meetings, events, group blocks and corporate accounts for Aloft and Super 8 hotel sales in the area.

Krwawecz previously worked as the marketing coordinator with Sovereign Consulting and for the food and beverage operations at Aramark in Philadelphia.


Kathleen C. Gannon and Timothy J. DeHaut joined Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, P.C., a multispecialty law firm in Red Bank.

Gannon, a previous associate at Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti in Morristown and a Seton Hall University School of Law graduate, will offer her services within the environmental department.

DeHaut, a previous associate at Madden Mediation & Arbitration in NYC and a University of Pittsburgh School of Law graduate, will contribute to the real estate, redevelopment and planned real estate development department.

Jessica Kitson, Esq. joined Volunteer Lawyers for Justice in Newark to lead bankruptcy and consumer law efforts as managing attorney. VLJ-Newark provides free legal aid to thousands of low-income clients.

Kitson previously served as director of the Eric R. Neisser Public Interest Program and adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Law-Newark. She was also the director and supervising attorney of the Rutgers Domestic Violence Advocacy Project, a pro bono program she helped create as a Rutgers law student.

Real estate

Cushman & Wakefield welcomed back Andrew Schwartz as a director in the Metropolitan Area Capital Markets Group in Morristown. Schwartz initially joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1985 as a broker in industrial sales and office leasing before leaving to become a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley and Abel Noser.

Schwartz is also a graduate of Rice University with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.

Software services

Activu, a Rockaway-based company specializing in large-scale visualization and collaboration systems, hired Richard Mebane as vice president of professional services.

Mebane joins Activu from Skyline Professional Services, having previously held senior management positions in customer care and professional services at Actelis Networks, Nakina Systems, Orbit IQ, Qtera Corp and Newbridge Networks.
