You don't have to move to Florida, South Carolina or anywhere else to retire. At least that's the opinion of the latest Movoto Real Estate statistical analysis.

The group released the 10 best places to retire in Jersey Wednesday.

And while we all have opinions of towns, it used the following statistical data to reach their conclusions.

First, towns had to have at least 10,000 residents – that left 110 spots in the running.

Then they were ranked on the following:

  • Cost of living
  • Crime rate
  • Amenities (libraries, physicians, arts & entertainment, restaurants, shopping, adult education)
  • Weather (average summer temperature and air quality score)

Towns were ranked from 1 to 110 in all categories, then totaled to produce the final rankings, which were as follows:

10. Ridgefield
9. Princeton
8. Hasbrouck Heights
7. Madison
6. Florham Park
5. Haddonfield
4. Glen Rock
3. Westwood
2. Tenafly
1. Ridgewood
