Wiley signs agreement to acquire CrossKnowledge for $175M

Hoboken-based John Wiley & Sons Inc., a global provider of professional learning and talent management, announced Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to acquire CrossKnowledge, a learning solutions provider focused on leadership and managerial skills, for $175 million.

According to the announcement, the transaction is expected to close on May 1. CrossKnowledge is based in France and has more than 200 employees.  The company’s product provides more than 17,000 learning objects in 17 different languages.  It made $37 million in revenue in its fiscal year ending on June 30, 2013.
