Cathay Home Inc., a New York-based linens and bedding manufacturer, is opening its first New Jersey warehouse and distribution center under a deal brokered by NAI James E. Hanson.

The company will lease 50,000 square feet over five years for the facility at 90 Triangle Blvd. in Carlstadt, according to a news release from the Hackensack-based brokerage firm. The property owner is Prologis Inc.

Cathay Home originally leased 20,000 square feet at another Prologis property in Carlstadt, said NAI Hanson Vice President Jeffrey DeMagistris. But he said the manufacturer’s e-commerce business “has exploded in recent months, causing the company to require more than twice the square footage.”

DeMagistris represented Cathay along with NAI Hanson Vice President and Thomas Vetter and Nicholas Herrick, a sales associate with the firm.
