Arno Therapeutics board of directors appoints new vice chairman

Flemington-based Arno Therapeutics Inc., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused in oncology, announced Monday that it has appointed Randy H. Thurman as vice chairman of the company’s board of directors.

According to the announcement, Thurman will also serve on the executive committee and work with the company’s leadership team focused on developing an oncology pipeline, business strategies and operational initiatives.

Prior to this role, he served as senior advisor and operating executive in private equity focused on the life sciences.  He previously was founder, president and CEO of VIASYS Healthcare Inc. and was chairman and CEO of Corning Life Sciences, which is now both Quest Diagnostics Inc. and Covance Inc., the announcement said.
