Madison-based real estate franchising and brokerage firm Realogy announced Monday the appointment of Stephen Fraser as its new chief information officer and senior vice president.

According to the announcement, in his new role, Fraser will develop and execute Realogy’s technology strategy, align the IT vision with business objectives for each business unit, directly oversee corporate IT functions, and develop and deliver IT solutions for customers.

Fraser was most recently head of information technology service and information management for IKEA Group in Sweden.  Prior to that, he held IT leadership positions for A.P. Moller-Maersk Group in the U.S. and Denmark, and for Canadian Pacific Corporation’s CP Ships division in Florida, the announcement said.
