Raich Ende Malter & Co. adds 15 accountants

    Raich Ende Malter & Co. LLP, one of the top accounting firms in the United States with offices in Long Island and New York, announced Wednesday the addition of 15 team members to the firm, ranging from partner to bookkeeper.

    New partners at the firm are David Maybaum and Michele Maybaum.  Prior to joining the REM, the father-daughter team co-founded an accounting firm which they developed for more than 25 years.  It served clients in Long Island and the New York City metropolitan area.

    Michele Maybaum has more than 25 years of expertise in profitability consulting, business advisory services, and planning for closely held and family-owned businesses.  She specializes in industries such as health care, professional service firms, manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, retail, real estate, insurance and financing.  She is now based in the firm’s headquarters in New York City.

    David Maybaum will provide tax and advisory services to small businesses and family-owned businesses.  He has more than 40 years of experience working with professional service firms, healthcare professionals, real estate professionals and their operating company’s, as well as start ups in the technology sector.  He is now based in the firm’s Long Island office.

    Also new to the firm are principals Tracy Schefler and Jeff Holt; audit manager Anthony Mazza; audit supervisor Michael Meilak; and staff accountants Robert Moretta, and David Roer, all of whom are now based in the firm’s New York City office.

    The Long Island office welcomed Philip Gaboury as a quality control manager; Iola Damante as tax supervisor; Nicole Aufiero as senior audit manager; Monica Lala and Peter Radonis as staff accountants; and John Casas as tax accountant, recently joined the firm’s New Jersey office, located in Florham Park.
