Elmwood Park-based construction firm River Drive Construction announced Tuesday that it has completed the renovation of luxury watch company Movado Group's world headquarters in Paramus.

The property is located at 650 From Rd. in the Mack-Cali Centre II, which is owned by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, the announcement said. It is a Class A office building.

River Drive created a new design studio for Movado's watch design team. Redevelopment of the 11,000-square-foot space entailed new workrooms, conference rooms, a library, a presentation room, a training room and a pantry, the company said in a statement.

"It's always challenging to complete construction work in an occupied space, but this project was especially complex and required detailed logistical planning," River Drive president Joseph Langan said. "Despite having to work within an occupied area with construction occurring in three different areas, our team did a fantastic job of completing the project on time and within budget without disrupting the tenant's business operations."

The renovation was designed by architectural firm Studio 1200 and furnished by Business Furniture Inc., the announcement said.
