Jackson Hewitt appoints new CEO

Parsippany-based tax preparation service company Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. announced Tuesday the appointment of David Prokupek as its new president and chief executive officer.

According to the announcement, Prokupek most recently served as chairman and CEO of Smashburger.  Prior to that he served as CEO and founder of Geronimo Partners, an investment and wealth management firm, and was CEO of Tucker Anthony Sutro Capital Markets.

"I am proud to join Jackson Hewitt and look forward to working with the corporate team, franchise partners and Bayside Capital to help accelerate the Company's growth by building on Jackson Hewitt's strong brand, established national footprint and award winning business model," Prokupek said.
