Reed Smith LLP has named Diane Bettino the new managing partner of the firm's Princeton office.
Bettino specializes in complex state and federal litigation and class action defense. With Reed Smith, which has some 1,800 attorneys spread across 26 different offices around the world. She said the Princeton office plays a significant role for the firm as a whole, working with some of the world's largest companies.
"Many of the firm's major clients are based or conduct significant business in this region, and a number of our Princeton lawyers sustain high-profile national and international practices," Bettino said in a statement. "I foresee a continued bright future for Reed Smith, this office, its lawyers and our clients, and am dedicated to helping ensure this outcome."
Bettino has taken a leadership role in the Women's Initiative Network and has been involved in the firm's Associate Development Committee, helping mentor her colleagues. She replaces Nanette Mantell, who has been promoted to senior counsel at the firm.
"Nan has provided steady leadership in Princeton and in a variety of roles for the firm for a number of years, in addition to her busy life sciences transaction practice, and we thank her for her exemplary service," Sandy Thomas, Reed Smith's global managing partner, said in a statement.
