The Hampshire Cos. acquires retail center

Morristown-based real estate investment firm The Hampshire Companies announced Friday the acquisition of Big Pine Key Shopping Center.

According to the announcement, the 93,150-square-foot retail center includes three retail buildings located in Big Pine Key, Fla.

The acquisition is a joint venture with Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.-based real estate development and investment firm The Ferber Company.  Claude Gardner, of Prudential Knight & Gardner Realty, represented the seller, Big Pine Shopping Center LLC, the announcement said.
