Chris Christie's 2016 presidential prospect poll numbers continue to drop.

And the latest numbers from a CBS/New York Times poll released Tuesday are the worst yet.

Christie is not only the fourth pick for president among potential Republican candidates (only 31 percent of those responding want to see him run), but more than four in 10 respondents (41 percent) said the opposite — that they hope he will not run.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (41 percent), Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (39) and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (32) all were viewed more favorably than Christie.

The Democratic side of the poll was much more predictable as Hillary Clinton is the overwhelming favorite at this point, with 82 percent of those responding indicating they want to see her run.
