The Hampshire Cos. announces redevelopment plans for former Verizon Wireless building

Morristown-based real estate investment firm The Hampshire Companies, announced Thursday its plan to redevelop 93,660 square feet of space.

When completed the 2510 Riva Road, Annapolis, Md. space which was previously home to Verizon Wireless will be transformed into a headquarters-facility. Construction is slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2014.

According to the announcement, Hampshire partnered with Kohn Pederson Fox, an internationally-renowed architecture firm. KPF designed the renowned Gannett/USA Today Headquarters in McLean, Va. as well as the World Bank Headquarters building in Washington D.C.

J. Scott Wimbrow, Christopher Bennett, Patricia Farrell and Justin Mullen of Mackenzie Commercial Real Estate Services are the exclusive leasing agents for the property, the announcement said.
