When is it appropriate to text in business? When the message and the response are both brief, and the content is not critical.
What would you give New Jersey for its 350th birthday? The financial revenues so that it could address the many needs of its citizens, particularly the underserved.
What is your go-to stress buster at work? Prayer and reflection. I stop and think about all for which I am grateful. Then, with a different perspective, I return to work.
What do you wish someone had told you earlier in your career? I wish one of my mentors had talked openly with me about the particular challenges faced by women who rise to the CEO level and who also have families. The constant internal tension I felt for years as I struggled to divide my time fairly between work and family might not have changed, but at least it would have been acknowledged.
