Who is your most influential role model? My stepfather, Gerard D. Guilfoyle. He was a lieutenant in the New York City Fire Department and received the Medal of Honor … He worked there for 20 years until he had to leave on disability. Thereafter, he started a small business in New Jersey and operated it successfully for 35 years … He taught me and my siblings what it meant to have integrity, honor in the face of adversity, courage, initiative, passion and loyalty.
When is it appropriate to text in business? When you have familiarity with a colleague and a business relationship has been forged.
What would you give New Jersey for its 350th birthday? A collage of photos that shows all the natural beauty and the wildlife in the state.
What is your go-to stress buster at work? After I leave work, I like to walk along a waterway or sit in my boat and watch the sunset. A beautiful sunset has a calming effect and brings me peace.
