When is it appropriate to text in business? When you’re running unavoidably late for a meeting with a client and know they won’t have access to email, but you need to give them the courtesy to let them know you will be a few minutes late. Then, and only then, is it appropriate to send a text message to notify them.

What is your go-to stress buster at work? I make it a point to hit the gym two to three times a week at the start of my business day to give me the energy to attack the issues of the day that I might face.

What do you wish someone had told you earlier in your career? That you need the proper support system in place—both in terms of business and in terms of your home life—if you want to be successful. If you want to raise a family alongside the business, to operate at your highest level of potential, it’s important that you have a strong partner beside you who’s supportive of everything you do, and who can team with you to keep things running smoothly.

The women will be honored at an event March 24 at The Palace at Somerset Park. For more details, click here or please contact Melissa Sullenberger at melissas@njbiz.com or call her at 732-246-5737.
