L'Occitane en Provence, the international cosmetics maker, has signed a new long-term lease for a 177,000-square-foot industrial space in South Brunswick, brokers involved with the deal said Tuesday.
The company, represented by Jones Lang LaSalle, is relocating to 120 Herrod Blvd. in the township from Lyndhurst, according to a news release. The building is owned by Forsgate Industrial Partners.
L'Occitane picked the new space because it sought to "expand its distribution footprint to better serve its growing retail and e-commerce businesses in North America," David Knee, a senior managing director with JLL, said in a prepared statement. The 176,783-square-foot warehouse and distribution center is near New Jersey Turnpike Exit 8A, one of the state's most active industrial markets.
L'Occitane was represented by Knee and Blake Chroman, a senior vice president in JLL's East Rutherford office, the news release said. Forsgate was represented in-house by Catherine Argenio, its director of leasing.
