Hill International CEO to relinquish role

    Marlton-based construction management firm Hill International announced Friday its succession plan regarding its chief executive.

    According to the announcement, the board approved the plan for founder and chief executive Irvin E. Richter to relinquish that role to his son David E. Richter. The elder Richter, 69, founded Hill in 1976 and the company has had no other chief executive. He will remain chairman of the board. The younger Richter has been with the company for almost 19 years, serving as chief operations officer for 10. He will take over his father's chief executive duties on December 31, 2014.

    Hill employs 4,000 people in 100 offices around the world, the company said in a statement.
