Nonprofit wellness center opens in Westwood

By ,

Westwood has opened a one-story Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare Wellness and Support Center in light of recent tragedies stemming from mental health crises around North Jersey. The outpatient facility located at 569 Broadway has private rooms, a living area and kitchen, according to The Record.

The report said the location was chosen based on its close proximity to the new Hackesack University Medical Center in the Pascack Valley, Bergen Regional Hospital in Paramus, Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck and Englewood Hospital, Ray Brush, development officer of the new center, said.

Comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare Inc. is a 45-year-old nonprofit serving roughly 4,000 people from the county each year. It is funded by the state, private donors and grants, the report said.
