Frontier Airlines announced Wednesday the addition of flights from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine, Florida, beginning in May.

According to the announcement, Frontier is the only airline providing scheduled service out of Trenton-Mercer Airport. It will be the only airline to provide service to the St. Augustine airport, a convenient alternative to larger, more expensive airports in the region.

Frontier previously expanded service from Trenton-Mercer Airport in October and then closed for two months while it underwent $20.3 million in renovations.

The new Florida route will begin on May 2, 2014.
