Tyco, in Princeton, names new comms VP

Swiss fire protection company Tyco, with its U.S. base in Princeton, announced Tuesday its appointment of Stephen Wasdick to the role of vice president of global communications.

According to the announcement, Wasdick serves as the company's chief communications officer with global responsibility for external communications, media relations, internal communications, marketing, web and social media strategies. He also serves on the company's executive council. He will be based in Princeton, reporting to Judith Reinsdorf, executive vice president and general counsel.

Wasdick joins Tyco with more than 25 years of communications experience at major corporations. Prior to Tyco, he was vice president, global media relations and external communications, for global insurer ACE Group from 2008 to 2013. There he was responsible for worldwide media relations, financial communications, global website, social media, executive communications and other external relations strategies, Tyco said in a statement.
