Cooper University Health Care names chief nursing officer

Cooper University Health Care announced Tuesday Stephanie D. Conners has been appointed chief nursing fficer and senior vice president of hospital operations.

According to the announcement, Conners joins Cooper with more than 20 years of nursing and healthcare leadership experience, most recently as senior vice president of operations and chief nursing officer at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

From 2002 to 2012, she was a member of the nursing leadership team at Hahnemann University Hospital, a Tenet hospital in Philadelphia, serving in a variety of roles including chief nursing officer for eight years. Conners is a Lean Six-Sigma black belt and has worked to advance the application of Lean Six Sigma principles in health care, Cooper said in a statement.
