Calif. American Water acquires Dunnigan Water System assets

California American Water, a subsidiary of Voorhees-based American Water, has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire the operating assets of Dunnigan Water Works.

According to the announcement, Calif. American Water will assume the responsibility for the provision of water and wastewater services within Dunnigan Water Works’ service area in Yolo County, Calif. The purchase of the systems will add approximately 253 new water and wastewater service connections to California American Water’s customer base in the Sacramento area. California American Water currently supplies water service to almost 60,000 homes and businesses in areas of Sacramento and Placer Counties.
