STORY OF THE YEAR: The Affordable Care Act

By ,

In my nearly four decades of journalism in New Jersey, I've come to learn that picking the Story of the Year is actually quite easy.

One event almost always stands out. This year is no exception.

The NJBIZ 2013 Story of the Year has to be the Affordable Care Act.

How big is the story?

You could say it influenced and impacted every person and every business in the state in 2013.

Or you could say this: It's hard to imagine how the ACA — or Obamacare if you choose — will not be the NJBIZ Story of the Year in 2014.

Now we'd like to say we have one all-encompassing story that thoroughly explains the ACA. The trouble is, that piece hasn't been written.

There is a thirst for knowledge on the ACA (we see it every time we post a story). So with that in mind, we'll offer some of our best content on the subject.

Please browse through the choices below and click on the ones that work best for you — sort of like millions did (or is it just thousands?) when they signed up for Obamacare.

The only difference: Our reads are all free.
