Hamilton-based customer engagement agency Rosetta announced Thursday it has promoted Alexander Mahernia to chief creative officer for North America.

According to the announcement, Mahernia will report to Global Chief Creative Officer Lars Bastholm, who recently joined the agency, and help lead insights-driven creative execution across Rosetta's diverse client roster. Mahernia will also sit on Rosetta's Operating Committee.

Mahernia served as chief creative officer and co-founder of LEVEL Studios, the integrated marketing and product development agency that Rosetta acquired in 2010, the company said in a statement.
