About: In 2005, Frank Sorrentino III and a group of fellow investors launched North Jersey Community Bank, now known as ConnectOne Bank. Initially serving as chairman, Sorrentino added CEO to his title in 2007. His background in construction enabled him to see opportunities for differentiating the bank and investing in new technology. He serves on the boards of Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River and the Thrift Institutions Community Investment Corp.
First Job: “I worked as a local newspaper delivery boy at 13. It was a great first job that taught me about discipline, responsibility and the importance of community involvement.”
