Patience paid off for this returnee to the list. “He was one of the early members of new urbanism,” one insider said. “He was thinking about TOD when it was still faculty chatter
at the universities.” Finally won approval to redevelop Bell Labs in Holmdel (the largest vacant office property in the country), plus he has big projects in Aberdeen and Wood-Ridge. This year, he also got local approval for a big redevelopment project at a glass factory in Aberdeen, one that took nine years to achieve. His other big project is in Wood-Ridge, where Somerset is redeveloping the former Curtiss-Wright aircraft plant into a transit village.
