Verizon, with an office in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards, announced today the appointment of Eddie Schwartz as vice president of global security solutions.

According to the announcement, Schwartz will help Verizon advance its leadership position in cybersecurity by accelerating the pace of innovation and the integration of advanced security service delivery across the company's leading cybersecurity solutions.  Among the areas Schwartz will oversee are Verizon's world-class cyberforensics investigative and research team, which is responsible for producing the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report series; and the company's advanced cloud and premises-based managed security solutions portfolio. Schwartz most recently served as chief information security officer at RSA, the security division of EMC.
