Princeton-based MIAX Options Exchange announced today it has recently entered into an agreement to share market surveillance information with the Johannesburg Stock Exchange of South Africa.

According to the announcement, the agreement was signed by Shaun Davies, director of market regulation of the JSE, and Edward Deitzel, executive vice president and chief regulatory officer of MIAX. Cooperation on information sharing will facilitate the listing and trading of options on certain exchange traded funds such as the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF, a highly traded ETF offering customers exposure to both South African companies and those in other emerging markets.
