Rutgers University's athletics department, in New Brunswick, announced Wednesday it has partnered with Minnesota-based Augeo Marketing to develop an app in conjunction with the university's move to the Big 10 collegiate athletics conference.
According to the announcement, the Rutgers Fan-i-Am program will play an integral role in Rutgers University’s continuing effort to reach and engage fans via social media. Rutgers Fan-i-Am is being rolled out for Rutgers’ Oct. 26 homecoming football game.
Available online and through a mobile app, the Rutgers app allows Rutgers fans to connect with their teams, share photos, connect socially, earn points and win prizes. The app applies to all sports; fans that join can participate and compete in interactive activities to win sideline passes, Rutgers fan merchandise, signed memorabilia and other exclusive prizes.
