The Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event next week focused on helping young professionals advance in their careers.

The 2013 Young Professionals Summit, which will be held Nov. 1 at the Crowne Plaza, in Princeton, will focus on networking and building a solid online reputation, as well as on how to work with management.

"As an executive, we all know how important it is to develop talented individuals from within our organization and to help them grow in their interpersonal, business development and networking skills," said Peter Crowley, president and CEO of the Princeton chamber, in a statement.

In addition to several breakout sessions, the summit will feature a keynote address from Mathieu Nelessen, the regional CEO for the North Jersey region of the American Red Cross. Nelessen will discuss his work helping the state recover from Hurricane Sandy.

The summit will run from 8 to 11:45 a.m. Individual tickets cost $49 for chamber members and $69 for nonmembers. Attendees can register for the event online at the Princeton Chamber's website.
