Hackensack hospital names orthopedic oncology chief

Hackensack University Medical Center announced Tuesday that Dr. James Wittig will start full-time work at the hospital in November as vice chairman of orthopedic surgery, chief of orthopedic oncology and director of the skin and sarcoma division at its John Theurer Cancer Center.

According to the announcement, Wittig will institute various continuing medical education courses, expand clinical research projects in orthopedic surgery, establish new clinical trials, and organize graduate and postgraduate medical education opportunities for residents and fellows.
