Summit-based direct-to-dealer trading company TeraExchange announced Wednesday it has appointed Andrew V. Waskow as chief compliance officer and senior vice president. He will oversee governance and surveillance of trading on TeraExchange's markets, manage the rule- and policy-writing processes, and design and implement enforcement programs.
According to the announcement, the Commidty Fututres Trading Commission recently approved TeraExchange as a swap execution facility. Waskow will engage with the regulatory community and coordinate strategy in connection with rule-making and supervisory efforts. He joined the company last fall and helped lay the foundation for the firm's approval to operate as a SEF. Before joining TeraExchange, Waskow spent nine years at Goldman Sachs and three years at Merrill Lynch as an attorney providing strategic guidance on a wide range of trading and capital markets matters.
