Linde opens Texas gas processing plant

By ,

The U.S. arm of The Linde Group, in the Murray Hill section of New Providence, announced today it will open an industrial gas plant in La Porte, Texas. The plant will produce liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon at the recently announced air separation unit Linde is building at the site.

According to the announcement, the facility is part of a larger $200 million investment by the company. The liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon produced at the plant will be delivered by tanker truck to customers ranging from manufacturers of chemical and petrochemical products to food processors, metal fabricators and healthcare providers. When the plant opens in the first quarter of 2015, Linde operations at the site will employ more than 50 people.
