Ceragon gets contract with Indian cellular provider

Ceragon Networks Ltd., with U.S. operations based in Paramus, announced today it has secured a contract with Idea Cellular, India's third-largest mobile services provider. While the announced referred to “multimillion-dollar orders,” financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

According to the announcement, the project involves the modernization of thousands of wireless backhaul connections around India to support the data growth visualized from 3G and future technologies. It will allow Idea to deliver advanced data-rich services to its 125 million customers.
