American Water extends credit to $1.25B

Voorhees-based American Water Works Co. Inc. announced today the extension of its revolving credit facility from $1 billion to $1.25 billion. More than $1 billion has also been extended by one year, from October 2017 to October 2018.

According to the announcement, the increased and extended credit facility will be used for general corporate purposes. Other than the extension of the maturity date and the increased amount of the facility, the terms and conditions of the facility are unchanged.

The company also will increase its commercial paper program from $700 million to $1 billion, the company said in a statement.
