The law firm Carroll, McNulty & Kull, in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards, announced it has launched a health care practice.
According to the firm, the practice will be led by two veteran health care attorneys, Catherine J. Flynn and Michael A. Moroney, who joined CMK from Weber, Gallagher, Simpson, Stapleton, Fires & Newby.
Flynn said they have brought several health care clients with them to CMK, including Barnabas Health, Trinitas Regional Medical Center and the Medical Society of New Jersey.
"We wanted a New Jersey-based and focused firm, and the (CMK) culture is a great fit for us," Moroney said.
Flynn said a health care practice "requires a team, and CMK was able to provide that to us immediately, with high-quality people."
The two lawyers joined CMK six weeks ago, "and we already have a team of seven people — we are a fully up-and-running health care team," she said.

Flynn and Moroney's previous firm, Weber Gallagher, has offices in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Moroney said "the health care industry is probably the most heavily regulated industry in the country, and in order for our clients to prosper in that environment they need our full time counsel and support. CMK has the resources and the manpower and the platform to enable us to provide that level of service to the clients."
Founded in 1997, CMK's practice areas include admiralty and maritime, alternative dispute resolution, appellate practice, commercial disputes, commercial transactions, construction, criminal, employment, healthcare, insurance, international trade, real estate, and workers' compensation.
